A prostitute was jailed for three years for stealing a regular client’s wallet containing €80.

Donna Camilleri, 27, of Santa Luċija, was also found guilty of loitering for prostitution purposes.

The incident occurred in September last year.

Robert Spiteri told the court he had agreed to pay Ms Camilleri €20 but when they drove to Marsa industrial estate she demanded more money. A man approached them and grabbed Mr Spiteri by the neck. It was then that his wallet was stolen.

Mr Spiteri said he did not know who took his wallet and could not recognise Kyle Mifsud, who was accused of complicity and aggression.

Mr Mifsud was acquitted because of lack of evidence.
