Njongo Priso (picture, left) is making a return to Cypriot football after securing a move to top-division club Ermis Aradippou.

The Cameroonian winger signed a two-year deal with Ermis yesterday after passing a medical.

Priso had been widely tipped to continue his career overseas as he bids to rediscover his best form following an up-and-down season in the Maltese Premier League.

The 27-year-old winger rejoined Valletta last summer but spent the second half of the season with Sliema Wanderers. He will be hoping to replicate the success he enjoyed with AEK Larnaca in his first spell in Cyprus between 2010 and 2012.

Signed on an initial season-long loan deal, Priso made a name for himself in Cyprus as a fast and agile winger. At the time, his coach was Dutchman Ton Caanen, who had a one-year stint in charge of Valletta in season 2009/10.

Apart from relaunching his career with Ermis Aradippou, who finished third from bottom in the domestic championship last season, Priso is also hoping to get hold of a Maltese passport in the coming weeks.

Priso, whose wife is Maltese, initiated his application for the document several months ago.
