The two BOV Premier League matches that were postponed yesterday have been rescheduled for this evening, the Malta FA announced.

A waterlogged pitch at the National Stadium forced the Malta FA to call off the two top-flight fixtures planned for the afternoon – Tarxien Rainbows vs Marsaxlokk and Ħamrun Spartans vs Sliema Wanderers.

Weather-permitting, the two games will now be played this evening at the National Stadium.

The encounter between strugglers Tarxien and Marsa-xlokk kicks off at 6 p.m. followed by the Ħamrun-Sliema clash at 8 p.m.

The MFA’s decision to hold the postponed games today means that four BOV Premier League matches will be played this evening. At the Tedesco Stadium, Hibs face Mosta in the opening game at 6 and Floriana meet Balzan Youths at 8.15 p.m.

Yesterday’s horseracing meeting, the 45th of the season, also fell victim to the inclement weather. The programme, which comprises races from various categories, will now be held at the Marsa racetrack this evening, starting at 6.45 p.m.
