I have often written complaining about the dismal disregard by Mosta council for road surfaces and their repairs.

Last week it was revealed that the council’s adjudicating committee has not functioned for over a year and that this has further compounded the dysfunctional crisis of this locality’s council.

Given that taxes are paid regularly by all residents of Salvu Barbara Street in Mosta, one wonders if the damage to cars and their expensive maintenance due to dangerous potholes can be claimed from the local council.

Hope springs eternal that in the next three months leading to the next round of local elections some heads will roll.
