The Malta FA announced yesterday that the six BOV Premier League matches that were postponed last weekend due to the inclement weather will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

On Saturday, two matches were called off due to a waterlogged pitch at the Hibs Stadium.

Sunday’s four-match prog-ramme, including the top-of-the-table clash between rivals Valletta and Hibernians, also fell victim to the weather.

With more rain forecast for the next two days, the Malta FA deemed that the pitches, particularly those of the National Stadium and the Hibs Stadium, will remain unfit to host any football action this week.

In view of this, the decision was taken to reschedule the matches for next week despite the programme clashing with the final games from the Champions League group stage.

The match between Vittoriosa Stars and Mosta will take place today week at the Tedesco Stadium, starting at 6pm. This will be followed by the Sliema-Birkirkara game at 8.15pm.

The other four fixtures will be played on Wednesday, Dec. 11. There will be two games at the Tedesco Stadium, Naxxar-Qormi (6pm) and Tarxien-Floriana (8.15pm).

The other games will be played at the National Stadium with Rabat taking on Balzan at 6pm and Hibs facing Valletta at 8pm.
