TAP has just launched a digital card linked to its frequent-flyer programme.

The Victoria card, which is available through the airline’s app for smartphones and tablets, allows customers to dispense with a physical card as it will always be available on their mobile device. Members can show their digital card for services like access to lounges, check-in and so on, even for those services that normally rely on the magnetic strip, since the QR code will perform the same function.

The TAP app already gives customers reserved access to their Victoria account to check their balance, miles due to expire, next flight, miles claims, etc.
