Indulge in nostalgia for your childhood at the World Pooh Sticks Championships.

Hosted on the River Thames at Days Lock, Oxfordshire, the event attracts an international crowd in fancy dress who compete in both individual and team games.

The game was played by Pooh and his friends in one of A.A Milne’s much-loved children’s books, and it later featured in one of the Disney films based on the character.

It involves dropping sticks at a certain point upstream from a bridge; the winner is the stick to first pass under the bridge.
