Miralem Pjanic (left) curls the ball over the Napoli wall to put Roma ahead in last night’s top-of-the-table clash at the Stadio Olimpico. Roma maintained their perfect start to the Serie A season after scoring a goal in each half to beat Napoli 2-0. Pjanic put Roma in front with a curling free-kick just before half-time and the Bosnia midfielder sealed the points for the Giallorossi 19 minutes from time after he converted a penalty. Roma moved five points clear at the top of the standings after their eighth successive victory while Napoli, who had defender Paolo Cannavaro sent off, remain joint-second with Juventus on 19 points but the latter have played a game less.
