Three splendidly preserved cars from the pioneering days of the automobile will be offered at auction next month and will then be in the London to Brighton veteran car run.

Two of the cars, going under the hammer at auctioneer Bonhams, could fetch as much as £150,000.

The oldest is a 1898 six-seat Wagonette produced by French company Fisson, for which bidders may have to go as high as £170,000.

Also in the sale and doing the Brighton run, on November 6, is another French Wagonette made by the Panhard-Levassor company in 1899.

The third of the cars, also French-produced, is a 1902 Deckert two-seater which could sell for around £55,000.

Among other vehicles in the sale, at Bonhams in New Bond Street, London, on November 4, are a 1904 Talbot which could fetch as much as £200,000.

The sale also includes a 1902 Renault and a UK-built 1901 Sunbeam-Mabley cycle car.
