Sharon Sapienza’s dance show, the fruit of four years, is coming to Malta this month, exactly a year after the 38-year-old producer and choreographer suddenly passed away as she was re-covering from heart surgery.

Mu-Danzas Boleras is being staged at the Manoel Theatre after her parents decided to do everything in their power to keep their only child’s legacy alive, and carry on where she left off in her will to bring her show, which had just premiered in Spain, back home.

In the February issue of Pink, out with Times of Malta tomorrow, Sharon’s mother Edwige tells readers in a interview how hard the last year has been and how she struggles to look ahead with hope, having lost her only daughter at her prime and with so many plans for their future to fulfil.

It is through various tributes, her friends and now Mu-Danzas Boleras that the show can somehow go on for the devastated Sapienzas, who stepped into their daughter’s shoes against the odds to try and carry on her work over the last year, and are envisaging another bittersweet moment on February 15 and 16 when they watch her last production at the theatre.

In tomorrow’s issue of Pink, Malta’s top women’s magazine also looks at whether it is possible to have a shopping-free year and how one person hasrisen to challenge, tracking her success or failure in future months.

Fashion is still focused on the last few bargains out there, while the beauty of running to stay fit comes across in the health section and readers can tell their future in the monthly horoscopes.

Pink is a monthly magazine, produced and published by Allied Newspapers Ltd and printed by Progress Press.
