Telecoms provider Go has launched its students’ tariff plan to coincide with Freshers’ Week on campus.

Students can subscribe to the tariff plan by sending an SMS to 16414 giving their smart card number. ITS students have to send their ID card number.

A company spokesman said subscribers to the students’ plan would enjoy basic pay-as-you-Go benefits that included 200 SMS free of charge and a free 1GB data bundle on subscription. In addition, they would get unlimited calls to one Go mobile number – also on the student plan – and text messages to that number would be charged at €0.02.

As part of the tariff plan, students would also be entitled to the top-up offer that ran till June 2012, the spokesman added. Students can register by sending the code TLKWEB to 16414 (free) before topping up every time they top up with €10 or more.

Additional benefits include unlimited calls at €0.04c per minute to all Go students and 500MB of free data.

The special rate and the free data is valid for 30 days once awarded. Students who own a BlackBerry® Smartphone can subscribe to one of the special Go packages.
