The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra concludes its four-concert series at Valletta’s Manoel Theatre tomorrow with an all British composer line-up.

Directed by Michael Laus, the orchestra will present a programme of works by Britten, Elgar and Vaughan Williams, featuring two of Malta’s leading ladies as soloists.

Orchestra leader Marcelline Agius opens the evening with Vaughan William’s The Lark Ascending.

Soprano Gillian Zammit follows as soloist in Benjamin Britten’s Les Illuminations and Elgar’s monumental Enigma Variations will bring the evening to a close.

The concert starts at 7.30 p.m.
