Permits will soon be issued for work to start on what Prime Minister Joseph Muscat called “an acceptable project” for a general environmental upgrade of Mellieħa Bay.

Answering a PQ by Opposition MP Ryan Fenech, on why it was taking Mepa so long to issue permits for the upgrading of kiosks on the beach, Dr Muscat said the planning authority had undertaken a wide-ranging consultation with a view to drawing up a single plan for Malta’s most popular bay.
