I have been trying for nearly six years to stop rubbish bags being taken outdoors on the wrong days. On numerous occasions, myself and my wife have shown photos of the disgraceful and unhygienic situation to the local council even going to a meeting last month.

I have checked bags and found the culprits and, after basically doing the council’s job, nothing has been done though they say they have filed a police report. That was two weeks but nothing has been done. Are the police not obliged to act on such reports?

I thought I’d write to this newspaper because I am getting nowhere with our council and hope a little naming and shaming might work.
