Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi confirmed in Parliament yesterday that it was with his permission that documents and studies that had been presented to Cabinet about the public transport reform had been made available to PN secretary general Paul Borg Olivier.
Dr Gonzi was answering a question by opposition MP Leo Brincat, who had asked if it was accepted practice that, as confirmed recently on the media, the secretary general of the party in government had such documents in his possession, as the latter himself had revealed.
Mr Brincat had asked if it was also accepted practice that a government minister should take Cabinet minutes to a meeting of the Nationalist Party parliamentary group and even refer to them during the meeting.
