The residents’ association of St Paul’s Bay, Qawra and Buġibba is calling on the authorities to address the serious problem of lack of parking spaces in the locality, whose population is set to increase during the summer.

The association noted 360 parking places were recently lost due to the aquarium project near Ta’ Fra Ben in Qawra.

It proposed a review of the 130 reserved parking permits in order to withdraw the invalid ones, finalising arrangements for parking near Sirens and increasing the number of spaces near the area known as tal-Għażżenin, where a new promenade has been built.
