Could the transport authorities and other local councils in Malta and Gozo providing more reserved parking spaces for those holding a blue card? Many times, these spaces are occupied by vehicles which do not hold the special blue police card, are either blocked with some material that makes it impossible for a disabled person to use them or are far away from the centre of towns or villages.

For example, near the Fond Għadir area and the Preluna Hotel in Tower Road Sliema, there are no such parking spaces, except for one on the other side of the road, making it difficult for these persons to cross the road. Then further towards Tigne there are none available.

Therefore, one needs more specially reserved places for disabled persons – both sides of the road should have one or two, especially considering that Sliema is quite popular, particularly in summer.

Another place that needs to be considered for reserved parking is the area near or opposite the Bank of Valletta at the Ferries and near St Anne Square.

The same applies to many other areas in Malta and Gozo where these places are limited.
