Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas ranks Paris St Germain as “the best French team of all time” after they wrapped up their fourth straight title with eight games to spare.

PSG took an unassailable 25-point lead at the top of Ligue 1 with a 9-0 win over Troyes on Sunday and have quickly turned their attention to ending the season with all five available trophies.

Laurent Blanc’s side, who launched their campaign by lifting the Trophee des Champions, are in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, face Lille in the Coupe de la Ligue final and take on Lorient in the Coupe de France last four.

And Aulas was forced to concede last season’s quadruple winners are a cut above any side in the history of the French game, including the Lyon team that won seven league titles in a row bet-ween 2001-08.

“Everybody needs to be aware that this is an incredible achievement (winning the title so early),” Aulas said in an interview yesterday.

“The Parisians allow themselves to win wherever they want and whenever they want... except at Parc OL.

“This is much better than what we did, admittedly. I think, Paris St Germain are the best French team of all time.”
