Opposition leader Simon Busuttil is suing the editor of Labour weekly KullĦadd for libel over an article claiming he had been given direct orders under a Nationalist government.

Dr Busuttil said the article, which appeared last Sunday, was libellous and defamatory because it alleged that the PN government had issued direct orders to a company, in which he was partner, because of his connection and not on grounds of competence. The newspaper’s editor is Labour Party deputy leader Toni Abela.
