Standing Ovations Company was yesterday ordered by a court to pay €29,388.48 to Public Broadcasting Services Ltd for advertising and broadcasting services.

Madam Justice Jacqueline Padovani noted in her judgment that nobody from Standing Ovations appeared in court even though the case had been postponed for a “reasonable period of time”.

In another similar case, the owners of Tyson Butcher, John and Melanie Pace, were ordered to pay PBS €47,073.87 for advertising services.

In the judgment, the couple said they had reached an agreement to pay €300 a week from October 1, 2013.
