Malta’s unemployment figures remained stable in August according to new figures published by Euro-stat yesterday.

At 6.4 per cent, Malta’s jobless rate remained on the same level as the previous month and was just 0.1 per cent higher than the figure in August 2012.

The under-25s had the highest percentage of people out of work in August, at 13.3.

On the other hand, 6.4 per cent of women were unemployed and the rate among men stood at 6.3 per cent.
