Ya Habibi School of Middle Eastern Dance will present an oriental and Arab folklore intensive dance weekend with Belynda Azhaar.

Azhaar has mesmerised audiences around the world with her innovative musical performances and inspirational workshops.

She has taught, performed and judged competitions in more than 10 countries, and is a teacher and performer at Dance Exapsis festival in Egypt and Morocco.

She is founder of the Middle Eastern Culture and Dance Appreciation Club in Korea (Mecdack) and has raised around €7,400 for charity.

The event will be held between January 21 and 23. It will feature workshops on Middle Eastern music, shimmies, rhythms and use of the sagat, as well as a range of choreographies including fan veil fusion, oriental and folklore.

A hafla (bellydance dinner party) featuring an oriental and folklore dance show by Belynda Azhaar, students of the Ya Habibi School and its founder Jameelah, will be held on January 20.
