A new season of operas and ballets, transmitted live from the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and the Royal Opera House in London, has just opened at the Eden Cinemas.

The performances will include a selection of classical productions, all of which will be screened at the Eden Cinemas’ showcase theatre, cinema 11, for the third season running, allowing audiences to benefit from crisp sound and sharp picture quality.
“There has been a steady growth in interest in the screening of these productions. With the experience we gained from our past seasons and expert advice we’ve acquired, we’ve been able to make a selection of performances for this season which we believe will be very popular,” Eden Leisure Group spokeswoman Kate De Cesare said.
The ballet programme includes La Sylphide, Swan Lake, The Pharaoh’s Daughter, The Nutcracker, La Bayadere, The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland, The Rite of Spring, and Romeo and Juliet.
Among the operas to be screened will be La Boheme, Nabucco and Gloriana.
The adult ticket price of €23 includes parking and a complimentary glass of wine courtesy of My Wyn; children under the age of 16 enter at €10.
There are also discounted group rates for dance schools and other educational entities.
Those buying a season ticket, which are offered at a 30 per cent reduction, will be offered the opportunity of winning two tickets to watch the opera Nabucco, live at the Royal Opera House in London.
