For the past three weeks I have been unable to get my medication – Spironolactone – from my pharmacy in the Pharmacy Of Your Choice scheme. I asked my doctor if I could be prescribed an alternative and was told there is no alternative.

Every week I have been to check if the medicine was available and every week the chemist tells me I cannot be without these pills. I have been to other chemists to try and buy them, but only managed to get a 10-day supply, and was told these pills were out of stock. So what is one to do?

When in Opposition, Labour promised to eradicate out-of-stock situations. Yet here we are again, vital pills needed and they are nowhere in sight.

Promises were made before the election, but after 10 months in office, all is forgotten.
