From the way some women (and politicians) are talking, it sounds as if, in our society, a woman’s value is still measured by whether or not she has fulfilled herself through motherhood.
Surely, the millions of women who, for one reason or another, have not produced children are still worthy of their society’s esteem – and their own – because they contribute in so many other ways.
It’s enough to look at Angela Merkel and Theresa May.
