The Maltese bishops preach to a congregation that attends church services voluntarily, therefore, they would not be imposing on people. Their sermons are published in the media only because they would have news value.
Among the priests’ voluntary congregation there would be MPs who listen, digest, accept or reject the sermon under no duress. Again, no imposition.
When readers buy The Times for whatever personal reason they are obliged to pay for space often allocated to repetitive anti-religious propaganda. That is what would be considered an imposition because readers would have to pay for what they do not want.
