Work is being carried out on the road leading into the Barrakka Gardens in Valletta. Apart from the fact that possibly this work should not be taking place in the peak of summer and at the height of the tourist season, can’t the horse cabs be moved elsewhere to free more space for visitors?

Mobile shade

Gozo Channel employees at both Ċirkewwa and Mġarr terminals must really feel the heat. They have also tried to improvise and come up with some shade. An umbrella has been cemented into an old wheelbarrow, making it extremely mobile. Can’t the company provide better shading for its staff, who have to spend hours out in the sun?

Public inconvenience

A Mepa notice has appeared outside the public convencience in the Menqa at Marsalforn. It seems like the building is going to be changed into a fisheries office. And what about the toilets? Shouldn’t there be a public convenience in a very central part of such a popular place?

Check the spelling

Tight squeeze

Those in charge of painting a reserved sign outside the Attard parish church bungled it big time. It seems like they started painting from the back end of the word with the result that it did not fit into the designated space and they had to squeeze in the first two letters of the word ‘reserved’.
