A skip located on the corner of Old Bakery Street, just outside St Albert the Great College, ought to be moved elsewhere. Irresponsible users also dump boxes and garbage next to it, making it very difficult for the students and other pedestrians to squeeze their way through.
Wanted: Clean air
Are contractors’ heavy machinery which are used on our roads subject to VRTs? This mechanical shovel, belching out black fumes a few days ago, seems to prove otherwise. If that is the case, policies should be revisited immediately.
Green lights
The trees opposite Apap Institute in St Joseph High Road, Santa Venera, need some pruning urgently. The one close to the entrance is covering the traffic lights there and blocking the view of motorists heading towards Ħamrun. The sooner the job is done, the better.
Slippery when wet
The white pavement outside the Office of the Prime Minister at Castille can be very slippery especially when wet. Indeed, the other day a guide was heard warning a number of tourists to be careful when walking there.
A step too far
Birkirkara local council should send some of its workers to repair this pavement in K. Galea Street before someone is seriously injured and the council is held responsible. It has been in this state for months on end.
Accident in waiting
This container has been abandoned in Qrendi Road, Siġġiewi. Police have been advised but no action has been taken yet. Is somebody waiting for an accident to happen before it is removed?
