Ombudsman Joseph Said Pullicino is to propose the setting up of an International Ombudsman Law Institute in Malta.

It would be an autonomous seat of advanced learning in legal and public administration studies focusing on ombudsman legislation and its relevance in good public administration.

Its aim will be to create a nucleus of graduates hailing mostly from countries from Southern Europe and North Africa.

Judge Said Pullicino will make his proposal during the 8th meeting of the Association of Mediterranean Ombudsmen, which will be held in Albania.

He will encourage members to examine it and give their feedback and support.
