Olympic Games torch-bearer Geraldine McCann carries the flame past the Carson statue up to Stormont government buildings in Belfast, Northern Ireland, yesterday. The London 2012 Torch Relay started at Land’s End, the southwest tip of England, last month for a 12,875-kilometre journey around Britain, with a detour to also visit Ireland capital Dublin. The relay will culminate in the flame being brought to the Olympic Stadium for the opening of the Games on July 27.
