Sebastien Ogier claimed his third straight World Rally Championship win by triumphing in Portugal. The 29-year-old overcame a final day technical scare with his Volkswagen Polo to win the race.
Ogier completed the rally 52.8 seconds ahead of Mikko Hirvonen’s Citroen DS3, while the Frenchman’s Volkswagen Motorsport team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala came in third.
Ogier collected an extra three drivers’ points by also winning the SS15 Power Stage, which brought the fourth round of the World Rally Championship to a close.
