Maltese off-road enthusiasts Neville Ciantar and Tomas Tanti secured a top-three finish in the King of Italy series, an international off-road event held last weekend.

The Nusu Offroad Racing Team, with Ciantar driving his Rover-powered Goat off-roader, Tanti acting as navigator and their back-up team, ended their adventure in Italy in third place overall.

The Nusu Racing entry competed against teams from the United Kingdom, Portugal, the United States, Belgium, France, Italy and Holland.

British team Off-Road Armoury, of Rob Butler, were the overall winners ahead of Big Rock F-Racing, headed by Portuguese Filipe Guimaraes.

Three other Maltese off-road teams also participated in the King of Italy series.

All four Maltese teams are members of the All Wheel Drive Club.

The international series now heads to Wales on August 6-9 while the King of Portugal leg is scheduled for September 9 and 12.
