To those who, enthusiastically, prefer to call our current economic performance as ‘booming’, may I just remind them that a ‘boom’ is often followed by a ‘bust’, unless, of course, a sensible government is conscious of such a possible phenomenon and is willing to take preventive measures, sadly often at the expense of being labelled ‘spoilsport’.
My assessment: ours is a robust economy that is allowing the government to redistribute some, not all, of the fruits of growth.
