Northern Ireland U-17 exacted revenge for Friday’s 4-0 upset to Malta Under-17 in Newry after winning a second friendly match by the same scoreline on Sunday.

Edgar Mark put the hosts ahead after only five minutes and Connor Quigley doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time.

Sergio Soldano’s Malta held their own for most of the second half at the Moyola Park, in Castledawson.

However, late goals from substitutes Calvin Kennedy and Andy Mooney made the score more pronounced for Northern Ireland.

Malta: J. Azzopardi, C. Dega-briele, D. Buckle (56 I. Meli), C. Borg, N. Ghio, A. Friggieri (78 M.A. Scicluna), K. Nwoko (69 L. Brincat), J. Grech, J. Mbong (35 L. Galea), N. Spiteri, M. Guillaumier.
