On May 20, I sent an e-mail to the Senglea local council. In a matter of minutes I received an automated reply informing me that my message had reached the office and that they would do their best to answer my query as soon as possible.

They also informed me that some issues are quite straightforward and acted upon immediately. Other issues, however, could require further investigation and further contacts with the authorities concerned.

I am writing this letter on May 26. Six full days later and I am still without any reply.

Must have been a very complicated problem, you might think. Absolutely not. Couldn’t be more straightforward.

In fact, when I sent my original e-mail to the local council,I asked them a very simple question: Does the Senglea local council publish any form of magazine like other local councils do?

That was the question anda simple yes or no wouldhave sufficed.

Any comment on my part would be superfluous.
