It seems that the instability is not in Malta itself but just exists in our Parliament. I still go to work every day and buy my daily needs and my children still go out at night and enjoy themselves. My company works with three other companies and work is non-stop.

Which brings to mind that we are now approaching the summer boom, when every restaurant and hotel, and most other establishments, will go into full swing. To call an election now would destroy all of this. Carcades and mass meetings will also surely put tourists off our islands.

Calling an election now would have serious consequences

If our political parties have the welfare of the Maltese at heart, they would wait till after the summer boom and then call an election. To call an election now would have serious consequences and create real instability. I plead to political parties, on behalf of every business enterprise: let us have our summer boom so we can generate income.

And call the election later.
