Glenn Bedingfield’s degrading remark in respect of Archbishop Charles Scicluna has been condemned left, right and centre. And rightly so.

Our country boasts of freedom of expression by which everyone has the right to express his or her own opinion on any subject under the sun.

But no one, not even those who occupy positions of trust within the Prime Minister’s Office, has any right to offend anyone.

The Prime Minister’s silence about the case leaves much to be desired. No wonder our society is sick, corrupt and lacks good moral values.
