When I walked into the churchyard during the feast of Fgura, I could not help but notice, black spots everywhere. There were also black spots on the steps as well as all over the landing leading to the doors of the church itself.

If you have not guessed already, these are caused by chewing gum people throw there.

If people who regard themselves as God-fearing good Catholics have no respect for Church property what chance have we anywhere else?

I know that the Fgura churchyard has only recently been completely repaved, right up to the front doors and at a big expense. All those who live in this village know this, so why do they now treat this area with such disgusting contempt? Do these same people do this sort of thing in their own homes? I wonder.
