The whole discourse in the editorial The Use Of Maltese Language On The Internet amounts to a lack of self-respect on the part of a great chunk of Maltese nationals.

It also shows that the colonial mentality injected in the people’s veins during the 164 years of British rule is still active. Proof of this is the fuss certain people make when some spelling mistake appears in English while it seems that nobody cares about the multitude of spelling mistakes made any time our national language is used.
