Nexia International, the worldwide network of independent accounting and consulting firms, has been named Rising Star Network of the year at the recent International Accounting Bulletin Awards 2013.

The event, which was held this year at London’s One Moorgate Place, recognises global networks which have risen above their peers in the past year. The awards are based on individual excellence, innovative practices and commercial performance.

Nexia experienced exceptional growth in 2012, with total revenue at $2.8 billion (€2.16bn), up 22 per cent on the previous year – far in excess of other major global networks and reinforcing Nexia’s position among the top 10 leading accounting networks. In addition to this, some of the internal initiatives introduced to benefit member firms around the world has been pivotal in the network’s success and recognised through the achievement of this award.

“With a determined re-entry into the top 10 networks listed by the IAB, the judging panel saw Nexia as a perfect fit for International Accounting Bulletin’s Rising Star Network of the year award,” IAB’s Ana Györkös said. “The judges also praised Nexia’s ability to service its members through innovative initiatives, designed to help firms comply with global standards, retain staff and encourage new business opportunities.”

Nexia International chief executive Kevin Arnold said the award reflected the successful implementation of the network’s strategy and its ongoing commitment to support the needs of our member firms while continuing to grow.
