Wine and food lovers may want to keep November 1 free to attend the 10-Mile Dinner and Wine Experience at the Grill 3301 restaurant located at the five-star Corinthia Hotel in St George’s Bay.

This event is one in a series of themed dinners organised by the Delicata winemaker, whereby some of the finest chefs will prepare fantastic local dishes which are then paired up with the appropriate wines.

The chefs will use only the finest of Maltese quality ingredients, farmed or caught within an approximate 10-mile radius of the venue, for the sumptuous four-course dinner.

This experience begins at 7.30pm with a 20-minute introduction to Malta’s modern wine industry by Georges Meekers, head of sales at the Delicata winery and author of the award-winning book Wines of Malta – The Essential Guide.

The evening will begin with a refreshing glass of Girgentina or Ġellewża Frizzato semi-sparkling wine served with light hors d’oeuvres.

Guests will then get a chance to meet and greet executive chef Kevin Arpa before being escorted to their dinner table by the waiting staff.

The gourmet culinary menu will be complemented with a choice of selected quality home-grown and hand-crafted Maltese and Gozitan wines by Delicata – from the Frizzato, Medina, Grand Vin de Hauteville to the Gran Cavalier ranges.

All wines, as well as mineral water and coffee, are included in the price of €42 per person. Seats are limited and reservations are recommended.
