The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology and the Water Services Corporation (WSC) are collaborating to set up a water research training centre and to launch a new part-time Level 4 diploma in water technology and operations in September.

The centre will focus on water quality research, water systems control and water efficiency and innovation. It will equip students with the skills required to face challenges regarding water conservation, water re-use and integrated water resource management.

The WSC’s Institute of Water Technology boasts advanced water laboratories and technological expertise. Other key stakeholders are the Energy and Health Ministry, the Malta Resources Authority, HSBC’s Catch the Drop water conservation programme, the International Water Association and the Malta Water Association.
