With her 2012 single What I’d Give still reeling out its summery vibe all over the Maltese airwaves despite the cold weather, Ira Losco has just released a new single. The Person I Am is the second single off the artist’s upcoming The Fire album, which is expected to come out around the third week of March.

Sounding entirely different to her previous release in terms of direction and style, the new single features guest vocals from Sixth Simfoni rapper Dave Leguesse, who packs a melodic punch that fits snugly into the song’s assertive lyrics and mid-paced tilt.

The contrast between the two singles is indicative of the musical variety that features on The Fire, an album that in Ira’s own words “is totally what I’m about”.

The Fire can be pre-ordered on iTunes as from March 1. Meanwhile watch out for the brand new video for The Person I Am, which is coming out soon.
