Nordic hotel chain Scandic’s new lifestyle venture has opened the Scandic Grand Central (left) in the centre of Stockholm.

The hotel is the result of the chain’s new drive to attract more international travellers and target groups.

Its ambition is to develop unpretentious yet innovative hotels that are environmentally friendly.

Scandic Grand Central will be infused with Stockholm’s ‘downtown’ street culture and its vibrant atmosphere.

It is situated in a historic location on the corner of the city’s two most tourist-friendly streets – Kungsgatan and Vasagatan. The property was built in 1885 and known as The Lundberg Palace.
