On October 17, I was given a new lease of life when I underwent a coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) without complications. I was transferred to CCU after the operation. When I had sufficiently recovered the next day, I was transferred back to the Cardiac Surgery Ward.

With the help of all the staff in this ward and of the daily physiotherapy sessions I made steady progress and, six days later, I was discharged from Mater Dei Hospital and sent home. I now need some five weeks to fully recover from this major operation.

This surgical operation would not have succeeded had it not been for the great progress made by medical science.

However, I would also like to thank the consultant and his team of doctors and all the staff members of the Cardiac Surgery Ward and CCU.
