The University’s new programme in the Liberal Arts and Sciences has attracted over 200 applications for its first intake between October and January.

CEOs, soldiers, doctors and teachers are among those who signed up for courses in archaeology, art history, psychology, human resource management, marine biology and Dante’s Divine Comedy. Students may choose as many short courses as they want, and can achieve a certificate, diploma, higher diploma or bachelor’s degree in liberal studies.

“We wanted to fill what we perceived as somewhat of a void by offering a flexible route to beginning or continuing tertiary education,” rector Juanito Camilleri said.
