Caremark (Malta) has launched a new strand of care services for tourists. This innovative addition to its portfolio seeks to address care and support needs tourists may require when visiting Malta and Gozo.

Caremark (Malta) brand manager Maria Cassar kicked off the launch by addressing a noted gap in the tourist industry during a presentation at the Radisson Hotel, St Julian’s.

“This is an attempt to maximise equal opportunity for individuals of an older age or with a disability to visit Malta as well as to optimise their experience on arrival,” said Dr Cassar.

Caremark (Malta) chairman Kenneth De Martino said the new initiative was in line with a strategic development plan for an innovative and streamlined portfolio of extended services.

Caremark international development manager Paul Richards praised Caremark (Malta) on its initiative, pointing out that the company provided a quarter of a million hours of care to individuals across the UK.

“The availability of streamlined continuation of Caremark services for UK services users who travel to Malta in search of warmer weather augurs well for boosted tourism figures,” he said.

MTA chairman Gavin Gulia explained that tourist demographic trends and statistics strongly suggested such care services were needed.

Considering that over half a million tourists aged over 50 and almost a quarter of a million aged over 65 visited Malta last year, Dr Gulia vouched government support towards these new services.
