Ryanair started flights from Malta to four new destinations last week.
Flights commenced to Kaunas in Lithuania, Malmo in Sweden, Oslo Rygge in Norway and Turin in Italy, bringing Ryanair’s total number of active Malta routes to 28.
Kaunas is the second largest city in Lithuania and considered the leading centre of economic, academic and cultural life in that country.
Malmo is the commercial centre of southern Sweden and a friendly city with a good choice of cultural attractions, many quality restaurants and bistros and great cafés.
Oslo is the capital of Norway and the centre of the country, while Turin in northern Italy is rich in culture and history, and is known for its numerous art galleries.
According to Ryanair, its 28 Malta routes will carry over one million passengers per year as well as sustain 1,000 jobs locally.
