Global Capital plc has announced that the issue of €10 million five per cent unsecured 2021 bonds has been oversubscribed.

In a company announcement published on the Malta Stock Exchange after the close of the offer period, Global Capital stated that the company has received applications for new bonds in excess of the amount of €10 million. Existing bondholders will be receiving the full amount of new bonds applied for by them. An allocation policy will be announced at a later stage for the scaling down of applications received from professional clients.

The company expects the bonds to be admitted to listing on the Official List of the Malta Stock Exchange on June 13 and trading in the bonds to start on June 15.

Global Capital has also announced that proceeds from the new bond issue were used for the payment of the 5.6 per cent GlobalCapital plc bonds which matured on June 2. Accordingly, the company also announced that payment of principal and interest of the matured bonds has been dispatched.
