Reference is made to the letter by Anthony Cachia Castelletti entitled ‘Lost and found’ (January 27).
I think I got a clue, and a simple one at that: the present government, elected with the biggest majority ever, should keep on borrowing like its predecessors.
Certainly a couple of more millions would not make muchdifference to the astronomical sum already borrowed, that is €1.5 billion.
Remember the famous (or perhaps infamous) phrases? “What difference will a million borrowed here and another there make?” “No problem, it will eventually be paid by our children.”
Any further comments are, in my opinion, superfluous.
